This historic photograph, captured on June 6, 1957, depicts a group portrait of attendees of a Communicable Disease Center (CDC) course entitled “Orientation for Foreign Public Health Administration.” The course was led by Joseph Borches, seated in the front row, third from the left. Although the attendees are not identified, the countries represented include Bolivia, Taiwan (formerly Formosa), the Philippines, Egypt, Lebanon, Korea, India, Norway, Thailand, Colombia, and Argentina.
