Captured on May 17, 1956, this historic photograph shows the instructors and attendees of a Communicable Disease Center (CDC) training class that focused on providing continuing education for CDC Training Branch officers. Two notable CDC instructors have been identified. Standing second from the left in the front row is Harry D. Pratt, MS, PhD, of the Insect and Rodent Control Training Section. Standing first on the left in the second row is Richard F. Clapp, MPH, DSc.
