Captured in 1957, this historic photograph shows Communicable Disease Center (CDC) arbovirologist and entomologist Dr. William Daniel “Dan” Sudia performing mouse brain dissections as part of an unspecified arboviral study. Dr. Sudia conducted this work within the Virus and Rickettsia Section, Laboratory Branch, at the Cumberland Field Station in Montgomery, Alabama.
