Captured on March 13, 1963, this historic photograph shows a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) laboratory technician using vacuum suction to harvest a quantity of mouse tissue specimens for use in the production of arbovirus antigens. This laboratorian was a member of the CDC’s Virology Section, Arbovirus Laboratory Unit.
