Captured in 1985, this historic photograph depicts the exterior of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Publication Warehouse, a support facility used for the storage, reproduction, processing, and distribution of CDC publications and other printed public health materials. Before the widespread adoption of electronic publishing and distribution, facilities such as this played an important role in making CDC’s scientific, technical, and health education information available to public health professionals and the public.
