This photograph depicts a lithotomy view of a female patient who presented with vesicular lesions involving the right labium majus. The lesions were diagnosed as manifestations of genital herpes, a herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection of the genital region also referred to as herpes genitalis and formerly known as herpes progenitalis.
