This historic photograph, captured on July 1, 1964, provides a westward view of construction underway at the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) headquarters campus on Clifton Road in Atlanta, Georgia. The northwestern corner of Building 2 is visible at left, while an early stage in the construction of Addition C is documented in the background. Excavation has begun for the new addition, with construction equipment and a concrete mixer truck positioned at the site in preparation for foundation work.
