This historic photograph, captured on August 10, 1964, provides a southwesterly view of construction underway at the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) headquarters campus on Clifton Road in Atlanta, Georgia. Photographed from near the east wall of Building 6, the image documents construction of Addition H to the Power House. The reinforced-concrete structural framework is substantially in place, while extensive scaffolding and projecting reinforcing steel indicate that work on the upper portions of the addition remained underway.
