This historic photograph, captured on August 10, 1964, provides a southward view of construction underway at the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) headquarters campus on Clifton Road in Atlanta, Georgia. Photographed from near the northwest corner of Building 6, the image documents construction of Addition G to the Power House. The structural steel framework and portions of the roof are already in place, while scaffolding, exposed wall sections, and construction materials document the ongoing expansion of the existing facility.
