This historic photograph, captured on August 10, 1964, provides a northwesterly view of construction underway at the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) headquarters campus on Clifton Road in Atlanta, Georgia. Photographed from the CDC’s cafeteria, the image documents construction of Addition A to Building 2. Much of the structural steel framework and roof decking is already in place, while exposed framing, temporary supports, and construction materials document the continuing development of the addition.
