This historic photograph, captured on August 10, 1964, provides a westward view of construction underway at the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) headquarters campus on Clifton Road in Atlanta, Georgia. The northwestern corner of Building 2 is visible at left, while construction of Addition C, which would house the CDC auditorium and adjoining classrooms, is documented in the background. Concrete foundation walls are already in place, while workers, reinforcing steel, formwork, and construction materials document the continuing development of the addition.
