Caption:
This image of an anteroposterior (AP) chest x-ray, depicts a pulmonary infection, which was determined to have been caused by the Gram-negative bacterium, Yersinia pestis. Note that though the infection was bilateral, you are able to see by the radiolucent regions, that the pulmonary infiltrate was far greater on the patient’s left side, within the left lung’s middle, and lower lobes.
