Caption:
This agar Petri dish culture was growing ampicillin-resistant Escherichia coli and Proteus sp. bacterial colonies. An antibiogram, is an examination that measures the biological resistance of disease-causing organisms to antibiotic agents, which is done by observing the colonial growth patterns in response to antibiotic imbibed disks added atop the culture medium. In this particular case, you’ll note that this disk was labeled AM 10, and the size of the inhibition zone measured approximately 2mm.
