This photomicrograph reveals some of the histopathology found in this brain tissue sample in a case of neurotoxoplasmosis. The biopsy specimen was harvested from a patient with a fatal case of AIDS. You are able to see what is referred to as a pseudocyst, containing numerous, Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoites.
