This 1998 photograph showed two inspectors from the Philippines, Department of Labor and Employment, taking part in a hands-on industrial hygiene sampling course. These students were practicing methods implemented when calibrating air-sampling pumps, during air sampling, which was co-taught by a National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) industrial hygienist, and a Harvard University doctoral student, and was sponsored by the International Labour Organization (ILO). This was one in a series of NIOSH images regarding air-sampling techniques, (see PHIL ID#’s: 6796 -6802).
