This photograph depicted Centers for Disease Control employee, Pete Seidel, working on a tick illustration for what was formerly known as the National Center for Infectious Diseases (NCID), but was later changed to the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID). Mr. Seidel later occupied the position of Acting Branch Chief for the former Division of Specialized Media, which was hierarchically situated in the organization’s former National Center for Health Marketing. Mr. Seidel’s background consists of experience in the fields of graphic design, publishing and illustration.
