This historic 1965 photograph depicted Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) staff members, (left to right) Harvey Stinson, Robert Hand and Watson Plummer, who were shown inside what had been the cage washing area of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Chamblee, Georgia campus. At the time, the CDC was known as the Communicable Disease Center, and was under the auspices of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare (HEW).
