This 1947 historical photograph was provided by the Center for Disease Control's (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and depicted what appeared to be an agricultural processing plant, stocked with raw, unrefined material, which had been arranged in large piles alongside the plant. This image was used to document aspects of various industrial activities, to better understand these workplace environments, and their associated hazards, creating a safer workplace through the implementation of proper safety regulations.
