Motor test room in unidentified industrial setting. Original caption: “Motor test room having exhaust connection from block manifold to line located under the floor to the outside atmosphere. Before a good fitting for the connection was secured, much illness occurred in this room because of the carbon monoxide in the exhaust.” The photo was probably made in the 1950’s as part of a survey by the U.S. Public Health Service, Industrial Hygiene Division.
