A chemist in the Industrial Hygiene Laboratory at the U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH) in Washington, DC. This was Dr. Frederick H. Goldman’s laboratory. The purpose of the laboratory, would have been to analyze samples from industrial hygiene investigations, and to develop analysis methods. Original caption: “A chemist in the Industrial Hygiene Division, National Institute of Health, using the dithizone method for the analysis of lead and zinc.”
