This regulation includes requirements for PPE in construction. This section also provides a framework for determining whether the employer has complied with those standards. Employers must ensure that employee-owned equipment is adequate, properly maintained, and sanitary. PPE must be of safe design and construction for the work to be performed. Employers must provide PPE at no cost to employees, except as provided by 29 CFR 1926.95(d)(2) through (d)(6). Please note that there are 28 OSHA-approved occupational safety and health State Plans.
