Standalone OIICS Software Application
The NIOSH Division of Safety Research developed a standalone OIICS desktop application
that provides the functionality of the OIICS online trees with the complete OIICS
manual plus a few additional features for expanding trees and printing trees. The
OIICS Coding Resource software may be downloaded for free to your computer and installed
locally so that you do not require an internet connection to use the OIICS coding
resource tool.
Computer Requirements
- Microsoft Windows® operating system with the Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.0
component installed*
- 8 MB of free disk space
- Adobe Reader®
(for viewing the OIICS manuals in PDF)
*Users who do not already have the correct version of the .NET Framework installed
may obtain the component for free from
Microsoft.
Software Versions
OIICS v2.01: The OIICS Coding Resource is
available as an executable Microsoft Windows® application (OIICSTreeViewer201.exe).
No installation is required other than saving the file to your computer.
OIICS v1.01: The OIICS Coding Resource is
available as an executable Microsoft Windows® application (OIICSTreeViewer101.exe).
No installation is required other than saving the file to your computer.
Download Format
For each OIICS version a Zip formatted file is provided. The Zip file includes the
OIICS Coding Resource executable file specific to the OIICS version downloaded.
The OIICS manual specific to that version is embedded in the executable file. For
the user’s convenience, the Zip file also includes the OIICS v2.01 and v1.01 manuals
in pdf format.
