"Public Safety Bomb Suit Standard"

This document is a voluntary performance standard for bomb suits for use by certified public safety bomb technicians while performing render safe procedures and disposal activities. It defines both performance requirements and the methods used to test performance. In order for a manufacturer, supplier, or other entity to claim that a particular bomb suit model satisfies this standard, the model must be in compliance with this standard, as determined in accordance with this document and the associated document, Public Safety Bomb Suit Certification Program Requirements, NIJ CR-0117.00.

"Hearing protectors for use on firing ranges"

The purpose of this standard is to establish performance requirements and methods of test for wearable devices used to protect the auditory system against the excessive sound encountered on firing ranges.

"Standard Test Procedure (STP): Determination of CBRN Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) Performance During Dynamic Testing Against the Chemical Agent Vapor Sarin (GB) Chemical Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN)"

The STP describes test procedures in sufficient detail that a team of persons knowledgeable in the appropriate technical field can select equipment with the necessary resolution, conduct the test and determine whether or not the product passes the test. This document establishes the procedures for ensuring the level of respiratory protection provided by Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Protection requirements for Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR) submitted for Approval, Extension of Approval, or examined during Certification Product Audits, meet the minimum certification standards set forth in Title 42 CFR, Part 84, Subpart G, Section 84.63(a)(c)(d); Federal Register Volume 60, Number 110, June 8, 1995 and the Statement of Standard for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Powered Air- Purifying Respirator (PAPR).

"Standard Test Procedure (STP): Determination of Air Flow For Powered Air-Purifying Respirators"

This test establishes the procedure for ensuring that the level of protection provided by the air flow test requirements on powered air-purifying respirator submitted for Approval, Extension of Approval, or examined during Certified Product Audits, meet the minimum certification standards set forth in 42 CFR, Part 84, Subpart G, Section 84.63(a)(c)(d), and Subpart KK, Section 84.1157(a); Volume 60, Number 110, June 8, 1995. This procedure describes the Determination of Air Flow Procedure to Test Powered Air-Purifying Respirators test in sufficient detail that a person in the appropriate technical field can conduct the test and determine whether or not the product passes the test.

"Standard Test Procedure (STP): Determination of Silica Dust Loading Test: Powered Air-Purifying Respirator Filters"

This test establishes the procedure for ensuring that the level of protection provided by the silica dust test requirements on HEPA (also known as HE) filters designed for powered air-purifying respirators (PAPRs) submitted for Approval, Extension of Approval, or examined during Certified Product Audits, meet the minimum certification standards set forth in 42 CFR 84, Subpart G, Section 84.63(a)(c)(d) and Subpart KK, Section 84.1152; Volume 60, Number 110, June 8, 1995. These filters may be integral components of the PAPR; mounted individually; or used in conjunction with cartridges and canisters. This STP describes the Determination of Silica Dust Test Procedure for Powered Air-purifying Respirator Filters test in sufficient detail that a person knowledgeable in the appropriate technical field can select equipment with the necessary resolution, conduct the test, and determine whether or not the product passes the test.
