The woman depicted here in her kitchen was in the process of slicing up a head of iceberg lettuce atop her clean, clutter free countertop. She had placed a clean cutting board down on the counter, and a clean towel beneath, in order to absorb excess water dripping from the freshly cleaned produce. It is very important to prepare foods in as clean environment as possible, thereby, minimizing the possibility of introducing foodborne contaminants into the food preparation process.
