This photomicrograph of a mouse brain tissue sample, revealed the presence of some of the histopathology brought on by an amoebic, Acanthamoeba polyphaga infection. Note that there were a number of A. polyphaga cysts in the field of view. See PHIL 1420, for a view of this specimen at a higher magnification.
