Taken circa 1947–1948, this historic image, depicted former Public Health Service (PHS), Communicable Disease Center (CDC) parasitologist, Sadie Johnson Geiger, in the parasitology laboratory, situated inside what was the old Baptist Book Store building, which was located at the intersection of Spring Street and Baker Street, in the city of Atlanta, Georgia. In this particular view, Mrs. Geiger was adding an unknown specimen to a beaker, which contained an unknown reagent.
