Viewed from the front, this was a study focusing on the comparison of colonial growth, development, and coloration exhibited by a number of different dermatophytic fungal organisms grown on an unknown medium. From left to right, the study included Microsporum audouinii, M. canis, the fluffy strain of Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and a second tube of the powdery strain of T. mentagrophytes. The image was captured after 1-week of growth. See PHIL 14705 for a reverse view of these colonies.
