This image depicts the hands of a clinician retracting a child’s eyelids, revealing eyes that displayed the characteristic cloudiness of the lenses known as a cataract. Of note, is that these bilateral nuclear rubella-associated cataracts, were not visible at the time of this child’s birth. The age of this child is not known.
