This photomicrograph is the third in a series of three images, depicting the cellular content of a peritoneal exudate extracted from the abdominal cavity of a guinea pig. Numerous white blood cells (WBCs) of the polymorphonuclear type (PMNs) represented the prevalent cell type. This image was captured under a magnification of 100X. See PHIL 15443, and 15444, for the other two images in this series.
