From the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP), this photomicrograph of a hematoxylin-eosin (H&E)-stained human lung tissue specimen, harvested from an pulmonary aspergillosis patient, revealed the histopathologic changes indicating the presence of Aspergillus sp. fungal organisms. Note the branching hyphae amongst the lung tissue.
