Caption:
This image depicts a still life composed of a number of items representing homemade devices commonly found in the heroin user’s repertoire of implements used to measure out, and deliver individual doses of the illegal narcotic. Included in this grouping, were two metallic spoons used to cook down the crystalline powder into a liquid, which would then be injected directly into the user’s vein, using syringes included here. These items were supplied by the State of Georgia Crime Laboratory in Atlanta, Georgia.
