ID#: 16690
Caption:
Under a magnification of 900X, this photomicrograph revealed ultrastructural histopathology found contained within a molluscum contagiosum papule. Particularly important, was the presence of granular, eosinophilic (pinkly-staining) inclusions, known as Henderson-Paterson bodies that can be seen within the keratinocytes of what were once the former stratum basale, stratum spinosum and stratum granulosum. See 16689, for a higher magnification of these keratinocytes.
