This was a typical scene one would encounter on a bright, sunny day in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia in 1976. In this particular view, numbers of pedestrians were in the process of crossing a busy thoroughfare in accordance with the signals proved by the crossing lights. The automobile traffic, synchronized with the traffic lights, had stopped in order to let the walkers safely pass to either curb.
