This 1971 photograph depicts a healthcare practitioner as he was recording results of a previously administered schistosomiasis skin test, on the island country of St. Lucia, in order to determine, whether or not, this young girl had been exposed to Schistosoma spp. parasites. In this particular case, the healthcare worker was recording the reaction results, by using the imprint method, which he was tracking on papers laid out behind him on a bench.
