This 1971 photograph depicts the upper back of a patient, on the island country of St. Lucia, had been given a skin test on her upper back, in order to determine whether or not she’d been exposed to Schistosoma spp. parasites. In this particular case, you’ll note a positive result evidenced by the presence of both a wheal, and erythema at the administration sites.
