This high-powered, scanning electron microscopic (SEM) image reveals ultrastructural morphology exhibited on the surface of a human lymphocyte, upon which you are able to see numbers of small, sphere-shaped human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) particles, which had been grown in a culture along with lymphocytes.
