This photomicrograph revealed histopathology exhibited by a tissue sample extracted from an established lesion, diagnosed as granuloma inguinale, also known as Donovanosis. Note the epithelial hyperplasia, and an accompanying cellular infiltrate, consisting of histiocytes and plasma cells. This tissue sample was extracted from the patient depicted in PHIL 6440.
