This 1970 image depicts what was an interior view of the Publication Room, inside the former Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Department of Publication Management. Standing at the right was the former Chief of the Publication Management Section, Mr. Richard Koonce. In this particular view, Mr. Koonce was proofing, or reviewing a test copy of an up-and-coming publication, checking grammar, spelling, and printed colors for accuracy.
