The Division of Safety Research (DSR), Protective Technology Branch (PTB) of NIOSH, is heavily involved in developing and testing fall prevention and arrest systems. The photographer, a NIOSH Research Safety Engineer in the Division of Safety Research, Tom Bobick, PhD, PE, CSP, CPE, earned a tie for Third Place in the 2008 CDC Connects Annual Public Health in Action Photo Contest, in the category of “Domestic Programs”.
