The picture earned photographer, CDC Chief Medical Officer, Zhijun (Leland) Li, MD, MSc, a staff member in the Global AIDS Program’s (GAP) China Office, a Second Place award in the 2009 CDC Connects Annual Public Health in Action Photo Contest, in the category of “Domestic People and Programs”.
