Entitled, “The Challenge of Finding Clean Water”, this image was created by CDC’s Association of Schools of Public Health/CDC (ASPH/CDC) Alan Rosenfield Global Health fellow, Caitlin M. Worrell. Finding adequate supplies of clean water is a daily struggle for much of the world’s population. These Malian girls do their part, even if it’s simply by carrying very small quantities of water back to their homes. The image earned Caitlin the Third Place award in the 2011 CDC Connects Annual Public Health in Action Photo Contest, in the category of “International People”.
