Under the scorching sun, and in 104°F weather, a Nigerian Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) resident, and two data collectors, were seen here, attempting to hike down extremely difficult terrain at Hirgizan Duste, in Sokoto, Nigeria, in order to collect immunization data from underserved settlements, during the Phase-1 routine immunization vaccine coverage survey, organized by the National-Stop Transmission of Polio (N-STOP) program, in October 2014.
