Caption:
This left anterior-oblique view of a young boy’s face revealed symptoms indicative of a disease known as Parinaud's oculoglandular syndrome (POS). The symptoms seen here, included granulomatous conjunctivitis of the boy’s left eye, most notably in the area of the lateral canthus, and a swelling of the anterior auricular lymph node, in front of his left ear. In POS, these symptoms both occur on the ipsilateral, or same side of the patient’s face.
