This image depicted a right lateral view of a cow’s tongue, in a case of bovine actinobacillosis, also known as wooden tongue disease, caused by a member of the genus, Actinobacillus. Note the generalized inflammation of these soft tissues, and the presence of an ulcerative lesion caused by the bacterial infection.
