Captured in 2003, during a SARS outbreak in China, this Chinese health provider was in the process of acquiring information from a SARS patient in a clinical setting. Both the clinician, and the patient, were wearing disposable facemasks to minimize possible cross-contamination of the contagious SARS virus. In addition to his partial complement of personal protective equipment (PPE), the clinician was also wearing disposable latex gloves, and a head covering.
