This image depicted a large grouping of slender eggs, which were deposited by a female, Aedes aegypti, mosquito. A. aegypti is a vector responsible for the transmission of Dengue fever, Chikungunya, yellow fever, and Zika viruses to humans, and lives in neighborhoods where water collecting paraphernalia such as old tires, and garbage can lids, lie about residential properties.
