Under a magnification of 125X, this photomicrograph of a hematoxylin-eosin (H&E)-stained tissue sample, extracted from a Texas bloodhound, revealed histopathologic characteristics exhibited in a case of actinomycosis, due to a fungal organism of the genus, Actinomyces. In this view, you are seeing two adjacent chronic inflammatory granules.
