Under a magnification of 1150X, this photomicrograph revealed the effects produced upon a number of peripheral human lymphocytes, when they were stimulated by the addition of the chemical, phytohemagglutinin (PHA). Note the increased heterogeneity within the nuclear chromatin. See PHIL 21378, for another view demonstrating the effects of PHA on another group of these lymphocytes.
