This photograph depicted a dorsal view of a patient’s right foot, that revealed a dermatophytic fungal infection that specifically involved the toenails, also known as tinea unguium, or onychomycosis, which had been caused by the dermatophytic fungal organism, Epidermophyton floccosum.
