Caption:
This 2016 image, depicted someone emptying a bucket of water in an outdoor setting. The mosquitoes that spread Zika, and other viruses, including dengue and chikungunya, lay their eggs in watery environments. To control mosquitoes, it is important to empty, and scrub, turn over, cover, or throw out items that hold water, such as tires, buckets, planters, toys, pools, birdbaths, flowerpot saucers, or trash containers.
